Vintage STUDIO ART POTTERY PLATTER BOWL. Large Size: 16" diameter and 3.25" deep- can be used as a platter or serving bowl.

Signed in cursive glaze on the back, the name looks like Hankels or Herrels, difficult to decipher. Features an outstanding illustrative style, very bold. Covered in lovely Purple Bearded Iris flowers with yellow throats and green leaves.

White background with a sapphire blue border. Wheel thrown, completely handmade and hand glazed. Excellent condition, no chips or damage, no crazing, no fading colors deep and rich. Edge of rim has one miniscule piece of grit in the glaze which is almost impossible to see but feels like a tiny rough'blip'. See all pics and use zoom.

This is a fantastic platter, really elegant and pretty. Great for a collector, would look stunning in use or on display.
