It features a stamped design of faces alternating with squatting figures. The glaze is a gorgeous mottled moss green and tan, and it has a lovely satiny sheen. The base clay is Morgan's signature red ware. The bowl is signed on the bottom Robt. Morgan was born in California and served in the US Navy during WW II.

Afterwards he studied at the School for American Craftsmen at Dartmouth, New Hampshire. He and his wife Dorothy, whom he met at Dartmouth, then established their first pottery in Oregon. Morgan exhibited at the First Northwest Annual Ceramic Exhibition of 1950 and the Contemporary Crafts and Museum Gallery (CCMG) of Portland, Oregon.

The condition is excellent vintage. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is a beautiful piece that's ready to display. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out. It about 6 1/8 in diameter at its widest and stands about 3 1/4 tall at the rim.
