This is a beautiful vintage Large hand thrown vase. Features a gorgeous textured costal scene.

Signed Bloomquist and dated 84. It sits at 11.5 high and the widest part of the vase measures 20.5 around. Please look at pictures closely. John Bloomquist is an award winning master potter. His work is described by a gallery as a step above most pottery with raised details and master craftsmanship. Each piece is wheel thrown and decorated by hand with various colors of clay while the clay is still wet. Typically taking 13 steps to complete a piece, it is fired at the highest temps. All of Bloomquist's pottery is high-fire stoneware pottery-the highest quality in the world. Very few pieces of Bloomquist's pottery are still available as he is no longer able to produce due to poor health. This vase is the largest piece of his available, that I was able to find online.
