Vintage Walter Dexter Vase Ceramic Art Studio Pottery, Canadian Ceramicist (1931 - 2015). This piece likely from the 1970s, available from British Columbia where the artist lived and created his works. Beautiful glossy exterior, earthen tones, with 3 top opening for your favourite bouquet.
Signed by the artist on the bottom. There is a darkened spot in the signature, and upon close inspection I can see that it is a bit of wayward gloss that got into the groove of the letter "D", so is part of the finish as completed.
8.5" high and is about 7.5" wide at widest girth. A beautiful piece that is highly characteristic of Dexter's works.
Condition is excellent, small bubble points in the finish that are part of the execution. No chips or cracks, the glaze is still brilliant.Please look at all photos and use magnification tool for close up inspection.
