Vintage Studio Pottery Footed Console Bowl Stoneware Modern Newell Hillis Arnold

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful rare vintage decorative footed console bowl. The artist's initials appear on the underside (see photos). It'll make a fantastic addition to any modern pottery collection!

16" long x 7" tall x 4.5 deep (measured at the feet on the underside). When this piece was made, the artist apparently went back after the fact and closed the separation gap at the top on one end as it didn't close as it did on the opposite end (see photos). We are not certain what the material is.

We were told it can probably be removed with some care, but we chose to leave it as it is since it didn't bother us. Aside from that, there are a few natural surface imperfections from when it was made, none overly distracting or that take away from the item - we are solely mentioning for accuracy.
