VINTAGE STUDIO POTTERY VASE or BOTTLE. Dark brownish-black reflective mirror glaze.

Decorated with resist abstract fat brush stroke seal marks with russet brown underglaze. Stoneware globular shaped jar or truncated vase with rounded shoulder, small waisted neck, and trumpet shaped mouth. Interior painted with a bluish Tenmoku glaze. Done in the style of Chinese art ceramics produced in the Northern Song/Jin Dynasty era. Similar in style to of Japanese artist Shoji Hamada and British Potter Bernard Leach. Height 7 Base Diameter 4 Top Diameter 2 Width Widest Point 5.

The bottom is marked with incised letters FEF. This is a previously owned vintage item. Wear consistent with age and use. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Stunning in person, in excellent vintage condition.
