Set of 2 Vintage Mid Century Fish Art Pottery Vases Pitchers Signed Unique matching pair of glazed clay fish with tails as handles. These are pitchers or vases. 11" tall by 7" wide by 4 deep. One weighs 2 pounds and the other is 2 lbs.
One has a small chip on the inside of the lip that is not obvious. One fish is signed MF dated 49 for 1949 plus has a pencil dedication under the glaze which reads "Best of Luck". The other is signed MF and dated 49. Manfred Frey is known for his white bisque work for Keiser, Germany. My feeling is these were made as gifts (they are dedicated) and are very likely one of a kind.
