Vintage MCM aqua blue stoneware vessel made by American ceramic artist Rupert Deese, and described by Deese as an "oblate spheroid, softly squared". Approximate dimensions: 4" high x 7.5" in diameter.Weighs just shy of 3 lbs 7 ounces. Signature: "RD" impressed signet, with artist's original paper labels and paper card. Condition: No chips, cracks, or restoration. There are two minuscule popped glaze bubbles located side by side on the exterior of the vessel, as pictured.
They are quite difficult to see, but you can feel the slight protrusion of the bubbles when you run your fingertips across the surface.
