Vintage Karen Karnes Studio Pottery Large Lidded Casserole Wood Fired Stoneware

A beautiful hand thrown & wood fired pottery Casserole by the renowned Mid Century American potter. Karnes worked in abstract and functional forms including her casserole designs. Signature KK at the lower edge. The lidded dish is measures approx: 14.5" wide (handle to handle), 12.5" outside dia.

9" tall (to top of lid), 5.5" tall to top rim. I believe this is her signature Flameproof Casserole which can be used in the over or direcetly. On the burner (raise burner heat gradually). Excellent used condition with little if any wear from use.

Weighs just under 10 lbs. Will be expertly boxed for safe arrival. Ships from Vermont (Karen Karnes resident state from the late 1970's).
