Vintage Studio Art Pottery Vase by Denis Vibert Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage studio art pottery vase by the well-known Maine potter, Denis Vibert. Please excuse any glare in the photos. In matte brown and yellow glazes, this piece has decoration of abstracted leaves. The pot is approximately 5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 6.6 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio ceramics. Identification This piece is marked beneath, as shown, VIBERT. Per Vasefinder, Vibert was a native of Britain. He met his wife, Ruth, in Canada during World War II. He studied ceramics near the home of his in-laws. In 1948, the Viberts founded Pine Tree Kiln of Sullivan, Maine.
