Vintage Authentic Tiffany Studios Pottery Lamp Base

This vintage early 20th century American pottery lamp base is from the Tiffany Studios, New York. The hand thrown pottery base has rich glossy caramelized brown hues that decorate its "rippled" squatty form. A Tiffany Studios patinated bronze support for a wired single socket & spider for a 12 shade sits securely on the the pottery. The base of the pottery is signed with the Tiffany logo, intertwined "LCT". Tiffany used pottery forms from Rookwood, Grueby, Wheatly & other major "potters" of the time. However, Tiffany Studios did make some pottery forms for their lamps. This is a fine example of this model. 10 1/4" tall X 12 1/4" diameter (spider).
