Studio Pottery Vase Iowa Elaine Knutsen American Handmade Wheel Thrown Native #3

X 5.75" vase is titled "Pearls of Raindrops on the bottom. It might seem reminiscent of ancient Southwestern motifs, as these often influenced the late potter Elaine Knutsen, of Blue Grass, Iowa. She signed her work Lainé. The surface is embedded with numerous semi-precious turquoise stone chips in four large areas. Note that there is one very small nick to the black interior glaze, just on the rim. Nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. I'm Mark Bassett, author and collector.
