Signed Una Deerbon Australian Studio Pottery Applied Grapes Tray Bowl Vintage

Presenting an exceptionally fine Australian studio pottery tray, beautifully hand modelled, wonderfully glazed and signed by the renowned potter Una Deerbon. This exquisite oval shaped pottery tray features an expertly modelled applied relief grape branch with five bunches of full, ripe fruit perfectly balanced with a grape vine branch and detailed grape leaves.

The applied decoration appears to one side of the dish and elegantly flows over the curved body. The decoration is beautifully finished in naturalistic glazes atop a mottled musk pink body.

Stunning rope twist handles appear to opposing sides of the tray with elegantly waved scalloped rim perfectly completing this exceptional example. This fine example has an appealing organic, flowing design with high relief decoration. OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF UNA DEERBON POTTERY. A wonderfully tactile, hand crafted piece that is a delight to hold. SIZE: This impressive piece measures approx 245mms in length, 180mms in width and stands 33mms tall.

CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some exceptionally light and fine overall surface crazing, noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy.

This piece has been very well cared for and presents wonderfully. MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an inscribed "Deerbon" signature.
