This unique piece is 10.75" tall and 9.25" wide, weighing 5 lbs. It's in the shape of a chalice, or you could call it a footed bowl or vase. The interior bowl size at the top is about 7" wide x 5" deep, not counting the 1 lip around the edge.
It's a hand thrown piece with a geometric design carved into the outside, with black and green glazes, and barely a little purple. The bottom is signed and dated by the artist, which looks like Ena Saylor. Unfortunately, my research has come up empty to find out more about her. There are no major flaws, but there are a bunch of tiny chips around the top rim. The interior of the bowl is also stained from past use.
