The Paperbark Cup, Arnhem Land. These are fresh from a farm shed in QLD. They had some mud wasp nests on the back but these have been gently cleaned off. These are hard to find individually but a complete & undamaged set of 4 is a real rarity.
He came to Australia in 1948 and set up a ceramics studio in Bowral, New South Wales. He had a fascination with Aboriginal people and culture - much of his work featured Aboriginal themes. Measurements: Plaques measure 38 x 29 x 2.5 cm each.
