Rare OKT42 Art deco Race Car Sadler English Tea Pot

This amazing piece was part of my Self taught father's (Robert J Bass) collections of bronzes, sculptures, ceramics and coins. His previous collections were auctioned at Sotheby in New York. An assessment from an expert on these type of teapots provided me with this detail. I have inspected your Sadler teapot and from the details there can confirm it is an early Art Deco example of the OKT42 type, made in the late 1920's30's. This yellow colour-way is comparatively scarce nowadays particularly in sound undamaged condition, the crazing is a common feature from this period. The Sadler factory in Staffordshire has long since ceased to be operative, closed its doors at the end of the 1990's..

Sad for such a classic Art Deco inspired teapot from such an iconic factory.
