Pat Chrest Illinois Pottery 8 Smoke Breathing Dragon Incense Burner 1989 RARE

Overall he is in very good condition. There is some cracking around bottom sides but I believe this happened when the pottery was fired, so, made that way. This dragon is an incense burner, made so that the smoke will come out the nostrils.

Pretty early date of 1989. Pat Chrest was a well-known Wisconsin-based folk art ceramicist who created popular whimsical, handmade clay incense burners, including her highly collectible "Smoke Breathing Dragons". Operating under her studio business name, Patti Originals, her fantasy-themed pottery from the late 1980s through the 1990s has become highly sought after on vintage resale markets.
