The round base has a diameter of about 8 13/16 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 8 pounds 10 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of American art. Identification This unmarked, vintage sculpture is by John Duarte Rawlins (1939 - 2008). He served in the U.
Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He lived in Manteca, California for nineteen years, where he was active in the local art scene while working professionally as an electrician. Rawlins was a member of the Manteca Artist Guild and the Manteca Art Center; an award-winning artist, he exhibited his wood and ceramic sculptures at art shows within the San Joaquin Valley. After he moved to Lockeford, California, he joined the Lodi Art Center. Rawlins passed away in 2008. Condition This piece looks good overall with no cracks.
It has minor wear with a few light scuffs. As shown in Photo 7, there is a small chip to the back side. There are some very small, scattered flakes (examples are shown in Photo 8); someone has colored some of these with black ink or paint. There is some masking tape residue beneath which I have not removed. Scattered, tiny specks of white wall paint are as found. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. And international government regulations prohibit such behavior.Other Information Individual computers may display colors differently.
