Mid Century Modern LEONORA MORROW Studio Pottery Vase Sculpture 17.5 Ikeban

Leonora was a Ikebana flower artist and Ikebana judge who pottery because she could not find the pots she desired for her arrangements. When I came upon this vase, I liked it a lot. After taking photographs of it, I love it. The design is so well thought out.

The vase is different from every angle and the colors and textures are so interesting. The gallery shot is lit from above which makes the blue interior colors pop much more than without the light. If you use enlarger and view the first seven pictures in order, you can see how it changes from a slight turn. Dimensions: 17.5" tall by 6" wide. Base is 3.75 across.

Inscribed on base "Leonora" in script. No chips, cracks or repairs. Interior is clean, with just a bit of dirt/dust on very bottom.

(Hard to reach) There are some glaze pops as is natural with this type of pottery and construction. Also, you can see three small black spots on the pottery. Possibly from the firing process?
