Vintage item in EXCELLENT CONDITION. No chips, no cracks, no signs of wear or unpleasant odours.
There is a tiny bit of glaze crazing on the pale green wing that is barely noticeable, even when viewed up close see second photo but please note: the crazing. Looks more prominent here than in reality / to the eye. This is very normal for these types of glossy glazes and items of this age. Minor manufacturing flaw (shallow indentation) on the back near the top edge which is common with these pieces. NOT VISIBLE WHEN ON DISPLAY / ON THE WALL (see last photo).
By hand on the back. He colour of the leaf-shaped wing is more green than in the second photo - which I would describe as a creamy mint green. The first photo is more accurate in terms of colour but the blue eye and beaded decorations are a bit darker in reality and more of a midnight blue. If sent to a non EU country.
Closest train station: Gospel Oak. Closest tube station: Kentish Town or Belsize Park. Cash payments are not accepted. EU AND NON EU BUYERS ACCEPTED!
If you live outside the UK and the. The photographs of the item are part of the description. I carefully inspect all items for sale and strive to make my photos as accurate as possible both in terms of colour, tone and condition. However, the true colour of glazes or general appearance of items may vary slightly to photographs (which can never be 100% accurate). All vintage items are "used" items so may show signs of wear on the base of the object (or back of wall plaques).
"Excellent condition" generally means no damage and no obvious or noticeable signs of wear. "Very good condition" means no damage but has some noticeable minor signs of wear, even if this is mainly when viewed up close but is not noticeable when the item is viewed on display. For the most noticeable signs of wear, I will try to be as descriptive as possible (unlike most sellers) to avoid disappointment when the item arrives. However, please bear in mind that I have a tendency to be pedantic and over-scrupulous so please do not be put off by my detailed descriptions of imperfections or signs of wear! When I show close-up photos of scuff marks or other imperfections (such as glaze crazing or manufacturing flaws), they tend to look worse / more prominent than to the eye (in person), so please also bear this in mind.Regardless of condition, hand made vintage ceramics can often have marks to the base (or back of wall plaques) either from wear or from the manufacturing process (such as scuff marks or indentations / small chips) which I do not consider imperfections or damage, unless it is visible when the item is on display or if it affects the stability or function of the item.
