Large Vintage Signed J. Edward Barker Incised Modernist Studio Pottery Jar 1998

Offered is a fine example of the incised stoneware of contemporary modernist studio potter J. The graceful, hand thrown form is finely incised with geometric patterns. The overall incised design is so meticulously executed it is hard to believe it was all done by hand. The photos do not do it justice; they are a bit washed out from the true color of burnt orange. The signature photo is the true color. Truly a master-work by this well known contemporary Kansas potter.

Mint condition with no damage of any kind. Measures 7 1/2 in overall height x 5-1/8 in diameter at the top.
