Fabulous Vtg. Lamp, Signed Studio Art Pottery, ART DECO RAVEN & SUNBURST DESIGN
It is a fairly large and heavy hand-thrown stoneware piece with a stylized oil jar form and a satiny matte speckled cream/taupe glaze. The intricate decoration is rendered in dark chocolate brown and graphite gray/black and features alternating panels with ravens and art deco sunbursts, all framed by striped bands. There are six ravens and six sunbursts. Each raven's front claw appears to reach out and grip the striped lower band which gives the design a nice dimensionality. The harp, mounts, and socket are brass, as is the simple top hat finial (there is no shade, just the lamp as shown).
It is signed on the base with an incised signature that looks like M / F. As with all vintage lighting this lamp should be checked by your electrician prior to use. It is in fair to good vintage condition.
There are no chips or cracks. The lamp turns on and off and I believe it has a three-way socket.
The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out. The overall height is about 22-1/2 tall to the top of the finial. The stoneware base is about 11-1/2 tall by about 10-1/2 in diameter.
