Including the lids, the smallest is 6.25 tall and 5 1/8 wide, with the largest 8.25 tall and 7 wide. The four total almost 13.5 lbs. They are mostly a greyish white, with a faint yellowish beige that comes down the top of each canister, and around the rim of each handle. The interior and underside of each rim is also glazed.
The bottoms have thick felt pads, a more recent addition by a previous owner. Each one is signed E Gatti, for Elmer Gatti.
From bits and pieces of online research, Elmer and Loretta Gatti made pottery in their Arizona studio from the 50s to the 90s. They apparently owned a pottery company whose production line pieces were signed Loma of Arizona. This canister set would have been from their personal studio, as they are all hand thrown stoneware. While not perfect, the condition flaws are normal for used pottery and also hidden from view, so they still look fantastic in use or on a shelf. There is only one small chip on the underside of one lid.
The undersides of the jars each have a couple up to a dozen small chips, which could be from use or from when it was made. I took the pictures of the undersides using one flash from the side, to make the chips and signatures more obvious. One of the jars has a firing crack on the bottom, which occurs in the kiln and is not a structural crack, as does the underside of one of the lids. _gsrx_vers_827 GS 7.0.13 (827).
