This is a Bill Heyduck art studio pottery with a repeated etched design and green glaze. This is a very heavy piece measuring 9 3/8" H x 6 1/2" Diameter. Measurements - 9.5" H x 6.5" Diameter. Bill Heyduck graduated from Millikin University in 1953 with a B.After earning his Millikin degree, Heyduck attended the Unversidad de las Amercias, Mexico, where he received a Maestro de Bellas Artes in Painting. He also earned a Masters in Art Education from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana before heading to Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA to receive a Doctorate in Art Education. Heyduck has worked as a scenic designer and painter, public school teacher, and as Professor of Art at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. He now owns Heyduck Stoneware, where he has worked since 1972.
Heyduck's work has been featured in several pottery magazines and is part of the permanent collections of Sheldon Swope Art Gallery in Terra Haute, IN, Tarble Arts Center in Charleston, IL, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and Evansville Museum of Arts and Sciences, among others.
