1960's / 1970's Studio Pottery Vase - Glazed With Intricate Flowers - VERY NICE PIECE. I sent this to a vintage pottery expert for appraisal who was unable to identify the markings, but said it's likely a studio piece, likely from the early 70's, possibly earlier. (The assessment he sent me) I can't readily find a match for the mark but by the crazing in the glaze it does have some age to it. It's most definitely a studio pottery piece.
The bottom is really clean and that tells me it's probably not more then 50 years old, older pieces would have discoloring from years of sitting on a table or stand and it lacks the general scuffs that would make it old. I really need to identify the mark to be certain, but my guess is mid 1960's to early 1970's as far as age.
Victorian revival stuff was popular then and this would fit in that era. The crazing would be natural with that as well. It has good weight to it, and the size is good for a vase. Measurements: Weight: 53 ounces / 3lbs 7oz Dimensions: 7 3/4 inches tall, roughly 5.5 inches wide at the widest. Mouth is 3.5 inches.
