Antique Wetherigg Penrith Studio Pottery Green & White Slipware Salt Pig (EB2)

Superb quality antique slipware salt pig. In very good condition as shown with a small chip to the glaze on the underside of the aperture and a tiny chip on the edge of the base at the rear (photo 3). The body has "salt" written down the front in slip. Very attractive dark green with creamy white slip decoration. Probably made by Wetherigg Penrith Pottery Cumbria and dating to circa 1950's.
