A vintage studio pottery sculpture of an Airedale Terrier. I can not decipher the signature. Early - mid 20th century. 27 cm long x 6.2 cm wide x 22.5 cm high. The dog has an unusual paint finish with a crazed effect.

There are areas of wear and dirt, a small paint chip on the body and some small paint chips to the base that are only visible on close inspection. The Airedale Terrier is modelled in a standing position and has an immediately recognisable silhouette. The dog has a cream paint finish with a green paint finish to the center. The paint has a crazed finish.

The side of the base has a signature but I can not decipher it. I have taken a close up picture. It has some age and may well be from the Art Deco era.

I don't believe it is later than the 1950's. It is a striking sculpture. If you would like to collect in person, cash on collection is fine. All items will be professionally and carefully packed using professional packing materials. Please contact me before returning an item.
