Antique, Dated 1928 Pair of Art Deco Vases. French Studio Pottery Polychrome Glazed Terracotta.
For your consideration is a stunning pair of early 20th century artifacts. Hand turned and decorated studio pottery vases. Polychrome glazed terracotta in classical shape with raised foot and applied twisted handles. Moorish design with arabesque patterns and Cufic inscriptions with possibly Islamic meaning. Amazing turquoise green color with blue, brown, orange and yellow motives.
Made in Paris studio in Muslim taste. Both are dated 1928 and signed at the bottom. Although matching as a pair, one is very slightly bigger than the other due to the fact that they are pottery wheel turned by hand.
