Vintage Pair Of Horse Rider Candle Holders By Bjorn Wiinbladstudio Work
DESIGNED IN THE FORM OF A RIDER ON A GALLOPING HORSE EACH CANDLE HOLDER IS 31 CM TALL AND 27 CM LONG. THE HAT OF THE RIDER IS THE RECEPTACLE FOR HOLDING A CANDLE. BOTH MARKED WITH MONOGRAM (WB), DESIGN NUMBER (L-4) AND DATES 1970 AND 1980 RESPECTIVELY. During 13 June 2015 - 17 January 2016 there was a major exhibition of Bjorn Wiinblad's work in Arken (Denmark).
Special emphasis was given to his theatrical designs drawings, costume, stage, etc. As well as his design for tapestries. This by far was the largest exhibition of the work of this Danish artist (see below). There is an English version of a catalog in conjunction with the exhibition available. During late 2013 to early 2014 there also was an exhibition of Bjorn Wiinblad's work at Danskmarks Ceramic Museum Website with a short video of a talk on the exhibition on You Tube.
