Vintage Mid Century Solveig Cox Studio Pottery Nude Woman Shelf Sitter Figure. Ms Cox was a gifted artist and sculptor and worked at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia. Cox was known in her latter years for cat themed pottery / artwork, but prior she focused on this type of hand formed & hand thrown female works. This piece features a hand crafted nude woman shelf sitter with one leg bent. Note the spaghetti style hair.
Figure is signed on the bottom Cox. Item measures 7 tall x 2 ½ wide x 3 ½ deep.Silver cup that figure is sitting on is NOT included. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
