Vintage mid century Eunice Prieto Damron fish platter signed studio pottery

Up for sale is a vintage Eunice Prieto slab plate/platter with 2 modernistic fish. It is signed underneath (see photo 6) with the characteristic hand signature over unglazed clay. This design is one amongst the several fish plates created, one of which was showcased in the March 1970'Ceramics Monthly' (vol 18, #3).

The plate is approximately 18" by 9 1/2" by 1. Is in very good pre owned conditon; the only defect I can see is a very small hairline crack on the edge as seen in photo 7. There are also 2 glaze'blotches' on the plate as seen in photos 3 and 4. A great big plate in size as well as design and a nice piece for the collector of mid century American studio pottery.
