Vintage 1960's Betty Woodman Studio Pottery Covered Casserole Dish. Vintage 1960's large covered casserole dish by internationally acclaimed ceramic artist, Betty Woodman. Woodman had a production pottery studio in Boulder from the mid 1950's through the late 1990's. The Metropolitan Museum of Art featured a retropective exhibit of her work in 2006, and her latest exhibit was in 2016 at The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. 6 3/4" tall, 14" wide (including the handles). Hand-pulled handles featuring the marks of the artist's thumbs where the handles were pushed into place.
Weight without packaging: 5 pounds 11 oz. Condition: This was one of Betty's "seconds" with a hairline crack up the side as shown. The crack is stable and not really noticable.
