They are cylinder shaped with designs painted in sections on the sides and the negative space carved out. This lamp has one section on the front with a line carved down the middle, and a repeat of that on the back.
This lamp is made from one single large piece of pottery, signed and dated Sakoda 81 near the cord hole. Measured by itself, the pottery is about 19.75 tall and 9 wide. It has been tested to make sure it works, and is set for a three-way bulb. There arent very many chips in the ceramic, and theyre tought to spot in the rough surface. There is an area in the front painted section, where the glaze came off and the unglazed pottery shows through.
The stoneware surface is rough and more prone to chips than other ceramic lamps, especially because this clay has tiny rocks in it. A hole was punched in the top for the lamp parts, and that is partially visible. It could be covered up if you got it rewired. The cord has a minor scuff on it. _gsrx_vers_827 GS 7.0.13 (827).
