Vintage Victor Vic Bracke Pottery Lidded Jar Pot MCM Calif Modernist VIDEO

Vintage Victor "Vic" Bracke - Modernist Studio Pottery - Large Lidded Jar - Bakersfield, California. Vic Bracke was a protege of Vivika Heino at the University of Southern California (USC). He later taught ceramics at Bakersfield College. He is known for his functional well-glazed pottery. Includes 2 pieces: jar + lid.

Signed on underside: Vic Bracke. My research shows that the artist's early signature had his last name only and that he added "Vic" to his signature in the 1960s.

Therefore, I believe this is from the 1970s/80s since the signature includes his first name. Striking brown textured abstract pattern on griege (gray/beige) background.

8 inches tall with lid; 6-1/4 inches tall pot only; 6 inches at widest; 6 inches pot opening diameter. In remarkable condition with no issues. See separate condition section, view video and enlarge photos for a close look. Timeless objects for the modern home. I strive to present merchandise with accurate photos and detailed descriptions.
