Vintage Signed Briscoe 1983 Crystalline Iridescent Glaze Orb Vase OOAK 7 3/4

No chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. The glaze is high gloss with natural manufacturing textures typical of crystalline pottery (pinholing/dimples in crystal centers).

The foot is ground smooth. Signed on the bottom edge/base with a name reading "Briscoe" (or similar) and the date "83" (1983). Condition: Excellent vintage condition (dated 1983) with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Maker: Signed on the bottom edge with a script name that appears to be "Briscoe" followed by a mark/letter and the date'83. Origin: The style, clay body, and glaze technique are distinctly characteristic of the Seagrove / Biscoe, North Carolina pottery tradition (similar to Phil Morgan or Chrisco pottery from the same era). Glaze: Spectacular Zinc Silicate Macro-Crystalline glaze featuring large, needle-like "Fan" or "Starburst" crystals rather than standard round blooms. Color: Deep golden tans, metallic champagne, and creamy beige hues. Measurements: 7.5 inches Tall x 6.5 inches Wide at the widest point. Base: 4.5 inches diameter. Upper Opening: 1.75 inches diameter.
