Handcrafted in Montelupo Fiorentino (Tuscany), Italy by the renowned Bitossi Ceramiche, this piece was designed by their legendary artistic director, Aldo Londi, during the 1960s. Often fondly referred to by collectors as an anthropomorphic sun head or face, this sculpture features the iconic Rimini Blu/Vetrata style aesthetic.
It showcases deep, hand-stamped geometric patterns and a mesmerizing, vibrant crystalline glaze consisting of cobalt, turquoise, and hints of emerald green over a textured, earthy clay body.
