Striking pair of large brutalist studio pottery vessels featuring a dramatic deep red drip glaze over textured natural clay stoneware. Both pieces have a rugged volcanic / lava texture base that contrasts beautifully with the glossy oxblood red glaze above, giving them a sculptural Wabi-Sabi aesthetic popular in modern organic interiors. The larger piece is an impressive floor vase form with a squared body and cylindrical neck, while the second vessel features a rustic pitcher silhouette with applied handle.

Both are extremely heavy and well made, with thick stoneware walls and a tactile hand-crafted appearance. These pieces make a bold statement in modern rustic, brutalist, or organic contemporary décor and display beautifully together as a sculptural set. No maker's mark present. Very good vintage condition with natural glaze variation and intentional rustic texture consistent with studio pottery.
