This is a remarkable mid-century hand-thrown stoneware teapot by Montana ceramist Greg Jahn in 1979, early in his career. Greg, who now continues his work with Nancy Halter in Billings, MT. This large teapot is finished with what appears to be a dark tenmoku glaze over copper, leaving circular decoration on each side.

It has an incorporated strainer on the inside for the tea leaves and a beautifully-shaped spout. The glaze on the lid is a bit more matte than the rest of the piece. It measures about 8" tall, 10.5" long, and 7 diameter. It weighs 3.2 lbs.

It's in excellent condition with no chips or cracks observed. Ready for use or display. One of my favorite studio pottery pieces I've come across and exceptionally made - I hope you will love it, too! Please review photos and reach out with any questions.
